Blade Winters is one of many limited run strips from the 1945-1963 period that has been criminally overlooked when reading about the history of American newspaper strips. Lasting only a year, this well drawn strip is similar in vein to other Hollywood strips like Hollywood Johnnie, with the Rip Kirby type of intrigue that had become the standard for adult strips.
This was one of the earliest compilations I had done for the Facebook group, and going over it now, along with several other strips, I felt the source I had used was poor and I missed the Sundays for some reason. So this is a redo, with much cleaner sources and all the Sundays. Part one.
